Dear Daughter,
I really am not liking this “up three times during the night” thing you’ve been pulling lately. Please don’t make me dress us in matching housecoats. Because I have a sewing machine, and I know how to use it.
I think I really did like the housecoat at the time, though I remember it being puffy and made with some polyester and it got picked and caught on hangnails. Also, this chair seems to be a very important object in my childhood.

Dear Daughter, you have a lot of sewing to do. Remember our matching bicentennial dresses?
Mom
I’ll sew us some Obamacare scrubs, that’s the bicentinnial of her generation.
